Our panel will be led by Carl Prescott, AXIS’ Senior Director for Pipeline and Early Access Strategy, where he will chair a fascinating and timely discussion on the two big changes announced in the UK impacting those working in Market Access and HTA submissions to NICE: the increase in the cost-effectiveness threshold and an updated EQ-5D value set.
The panel debating what these changes will mean for stakeholders includes:
Allan Wailoo: Allan is a Professor of Health Economics and Director of the NICE Decision Support Unit (DSU). The DSU provides training and methods support, originally to NICE Technology Appraisals and more recently across the range of NICE’s guidance producing programmes.
Amanda Adler: Amanda is a clinical academic and practicing physician. Amanda previously chaired a NICE Technology Appraisal Committee for 12 years as well as the NICE/NHS England expert committee who develops innovative health economic models to evaluate and purchase antimicrobials.
Fleur Chandler: Fleur brings more than thirty years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including senior roles at GSK and Sanofi. She is a member of the ISPOR Task Force on Paediatric Quality of Life and sits on the Parent Advisory Board of Duchenne UK.
Mirko von Hein: Mirko is a Health Economist and YouTuber. He works at Gilead Sciences and has over a decade of experience in HEOR, having previously held roles at various consultancy companies.
